Bicolor Cleaner Wrasse – Labroides bicolor
 
A striking and unusual cleaner wrasse, the Bicolor Cleaner Wrasse has a distinctive two-tone appearance, usually showing a darker rear body with a lighter front section and elegant, active swimming behaviour. Like other cleaner wrasse, it is known for its natural cleaning activity, helping remove parasites, dead tissue and debris from larger fish.
 
This species is peaceful and generally reef safe with corals and invertebrates, making it suitable for mature reef aquariums with a good population of fish. It is best kept in a stable, established system where it has plenty of swimming space and suitable tank mates to interact with.
 
Bicolor Cleaner Wrasse can be challenging long term, as some individuals may be reluctant to accept prepared foods. Offer a varied diet including enriched mysis, brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, high-quality frozen foods and small marine pellets. Choosing a specimen that is already feeding well is strongly recommended.
