A striking Acanthastrea echinata colony with intense blue and teal fluorescence under reef lighting. This piece has a beautiful encrusting growth form, tightly packed corallites, textured ridges and subtle contrasting tones running through the flesh, giving it real depth and character under blues.
Acan Echinata are generally hardy once settled, but they do require stable water parameters and careful placement. They can be aggressive towards neighbouring corals, so allow plenty of space around the colony.
Best placed in the lower to middle areas of the aquarium with moderate lighting and gentle to moderate flow. Occasional feeding with fine coral foods or small meaty foods can help encourage growth, colour and overall condition.
A fantastic choice for adding bold colour, texture and interest to a mature reef system.
