Gold Fungia Plate Coral
 
A beautiful Fungia Plate Coral with a warm gold/tan body, fine ridged skeleton pattern and short tentacle extension across the surface. Its classic round plate shape gives it a strong, natural presence on the sand bed, making it an excellent LPS coral for adding texture and subtle movement to the reef aquarium.
 
Fungia are best placed directly on the sand bed, away from sharp rockwork, as their fleshy tissue can be damaged if rubbed or trapped. They prefer low to moderate lighting with gentle to moderate flow, enough to keep detritus from settling without blasting the coral.
This coral can benefit from occasional target feeding with small meaty foods, which helps support growth, colour and overall condition. Allow some space around it, as plate corals can move slightly over time and may irritate nearby corals.
 
A hardy, attractive and characterful LPS coral that makes a lovely sand-bed feature in a mature reef aquarium.
