  • Heteractis Anemone (Heteractis spp.)

Heteractis anemones are striking and charismatic reef inhabitants known for their flowing tentacles and natural symbiotic relationship with clownfish. These anemones create a beautiful focal point within the aquarium, with their tentacles gently waving in the current and providing a natural hosting environment for compatible clownfish species.

When fully expanded, they form a large, graceful display that adds both movement and natural reef character to the aquarium.

  • Care Level & Compatibility

Best suited to stable, mature reef aquariums, Heteractis anemones benefit from strong lighting and good water quality. They may host clownfish species and can become the centre of activity within the aquarium. Adequate space should be provided, as anemones can expand significantly.
