Captive-propagated frags produced from our large, established Atlantis mother colony. This impressive Goniopora develops elongated flower-shaped polyps, dense extension and graceful movement, creating a full and natural display within the reef aquarium.
About the Long Polyp Goniopora
Goniopora species are distinctive large-polyp stony corals, with each flower-shaped polyp displaying approximately 24 individual tentacles. When fully settled, the polyps extend well beyond the skeleton and move gently with the surrounding current.
Its long-polyp growth form creates excellent movement, while the contrasting tones across the oral discs and tentacles provide attractive detail under reef aquarium lighting.

These frags are propagated directly from the mature Atlantis mother colony pictured. Growing and developing within aquarium conditions allows this coral to become established under captive care while reducing reliance on newly collected wild colonies.
Individual frags will naturally vary slightly in shape and polyp count as they continue to develop.

Feeding
Although primarily photosynthetic, Goniopora benefits from supplementary feeding with fine coral foods, zooplankton and suspended particulate foods. Feeding once or twice weekly can support healthy tissue growth, sustained polyp extension and continued development.
Compatibility
Suitable for established mixed reefs and dedicated LPS systems. Position the frag where its polyps have room to extend without touching neighbouring corals. Avoid harsh, direct flow, which can prevent full extension or damage the delicate tissue.
