Signature Collection Lord Micromussa Acan (Micromussa lordhowensis)
The Lord Micromussa Acan (Micromussa lordhowensis), often referred to as an “Acan Lord,” is a stunning large polyp stony (LPS) coral prized for its vibrant colours and fleshy, rounded polyps. Each head forms a bold, well-defined disc with contrasting rings and glowing centres, creating a rich mosaic of colour that stands out beautifully in the reef aquarium.
 
These particular pieces are from the mother colony I've personally owned for over 3 years. It has been said that the lineage this originally came from is possibly one of the best in the world ! My mother colony is absolutely stunning when you hit it with some light. It gives you a true rainbow of colours, and the polyps are huge ! 
 
Colour & Appearance
Micromussa lordhowensis is renowned for its incredible colour diversity, commonly displaying combinations of reds, oranges, greens, blues, yellows and purples. Many specimens show multiple colours within a single polyp, forming dramatic patterns and glowing mouths. Under blue spectrum lighting, the fluorescence intensifies, giving the coral exceptional depth and visual impact.
 
Placement & Flow Requirements
Acan Lords thrive under low to moderate lighting and prefer gentle to moderate, indirect water flow. Avoid strong, direct flow which may cause the polyps to retract. Best positioned in lower to mid areas of the aquarium where they can fully inflate.
 
Care Level & Compatibility
Micromussa lordhowensis are relatively hardy and well suited to established reef systems. They benefit from occasional feeding of small meaty foods or coral foods, which can promote growth and encourage new head formation.

Salinity: 1.024–1.026 SG
Calcium: 400–450 ppm
Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH
Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm
