Despite its modest footprint, the AD600 is rated for aquariums up to 1,700 litres (450 gallons). Its space-saving design makes it ideal for installations where cabinet space is limited, without compromising on output or efficiency.
 
Fully Integrated & Highly Refined
The streamlined appearance of the Aeraqua Duo is achieved through thoughtful engineering. The air silencer is discreetly concealed within the skimmer’s base plate, while air piping and the water level adjustment control are built directly into the body.
The integrated front-mounted control dial allows smooth and precise adjustment of the internal water level, ensuring optimal skimming performance with minimal effort.
 
Patented Dual Needle Wheel System
At the core of the Aeraqua Duo is its patented dual needle wheel design. The skimmer features two water inlets, allowing it to draw water from both sides simultaneously.
Each inlet incorporates two needle wheels — one rotating and one static — working together to generate an exceptionally dense concentration of ultra-fine microbubbles. This significantly increases contact time between air and water, dramatically improving waste removal efficiency. If one inlet is fully closed, the system begins drawing water internally, creating a recirculation effect that further enhances filtration performance.
 
Adjustable Water Inlet Configuration
The dual inlet system allows you to tailor performance according to aquarium size and bioload:
400–750 litres (heavily stocked systems):
Open one inlet to approximately 80% and fully close the other to encourage recirculation within the skimmer.
750–1,250 litres (moderately stocked systems):
Fully open one inlet and open the second between 30–50% to balance intake and recirculation.
1,250–1,700 litres (lightly stocked systems):
Fully open both water inlets.

Quiet Operation with Turbine Duo Pump
The Aeraqua Duo is powered by the Maxspect Turbine Duo pump, featuring dual inlets and dual outlets. Utilising sinusoidal wave technology, the pump operates with extremely low noise levels, ensuring near-silent performance within your cabinet.
 
Overflow Protection & Easy Maintenance
An integrated overflow sensor monitors the collection cup’s water level and provides a warning signal if necessary, helping prevent accidental spills.
The quick-release cup mechanism allows fast removal for cleaning, while the tool-free design enables the entire skimmer to be dismantled easily for routine maintenance and servicing.
 
Precision Water Level Adjustment
The front-facing adjustment dial provides simple and accurate control over internal water height, allowing you to fine-tune skimming performance quickly and efficiently.
