Pair of Tomato Clownfish with Malu Anemone – Amphiprion frenatus & Heteractis malu

A beautiful and characterful pairing, combining a bold pair of Tomato Clownfish with a delicate Malu Anemone. The rich orange-red colouration and confident behaviour of Amphiprion frenatus contrast beautifully against the soft, flowing tentacles of Heteractis malu, creating a natural and engaging centrepiece for the marine aquarium.

Tomato Clownfish are hardy, active and full of personality, often forming a close bond with a suitable host anemone once settled. As a pair, they may become territorial, especially around their chosen home, so they are best kept with suitable tank mates that will not be easily intimidated.

The Malu Anemone is best suited to a mature, stable aquarium with good lighting, consistent water quality and a suitable sand bed or lower rock placement where it can settle securely. Anemones may move until they find their preferred position, so care should be taken around corals and uncovered pumps or wavemakers.

Feed the clownfish a varied diet of enriched frozen foods, mysis, brine shrimp, quality pellets and marine flakes. The anemone can benefit from occasional small meaty foods, but should not be overfed.

A stunning natural pairing that brings colour, movement and fascinating behaviour to a well-maintained reef aquarium.
