Purple, Red & Green Favites Coral
 
A striking Favites sp. colony with deep purple-blue (and red when under specific lighting) flesh and vivid fluorescent green mouths under blue spectrum lighting. This piece has a classic brain coral structure, with tightly packed corallites, textured ridges and excellent colour contrast, making it a bold and eye-catching LPS coral for the reef aquarium.
 
Favites are generally hardy once settled, but they do best in stable reef systems with consistent water parameters. They can be aggressive towards neighbouring corals, especially after lights out when sweeper tentacles may extend, so allow space around the colony.
 
Best placed in the lower to middle areas of the aquarium with moderate lighting and gentle to moderate flow. Occasional feeding with fine coral foods or small meaty foods can help support growth, colour and overall condition.
 
A fantastic LPS coral for adding texture, fluorescence and depth to a mature reef system.
