Colour & Appearance
This Ultra-grade variety displays deep, vibrant red tones that stand out beautifully within a reef aquarium. When fully extended, the long polyps form a dense “field of flowers” effect, with each polyp swaying gently in the current. Under blue spectrum lighting, the red pigments intensify and can display striking fluorescence, making this coral a true visual centrepiece.
 
Placement & Flow Requirements
Red Goniopora thrive under moderate lighting and prefer gentle to moderate, indirect water flow. Avoid strong, direct flow which may prevent full polyp extension. Best placed on lower rockwork or the sand bed where it has room to expand fully.
 
Care Level & Compatibility
Modern reef keeping has made Goniopora much easier to maintain when kept in stable systems. They thrive in nutrient-balanced aquariums and benefit from occasional feeding of fine coral foods to support growth and polyp health.
