A hardy and attractive algae-grazing snail, recognised by its distinctive spiny shell. Spiny Astrea Snails are excellent for helping control film algae and light nuisance algae on rockwork, glass and aquarium surfaces. Peaceful and reef safe, they make a useful addition to the clean-up crew, though they can struggle to right themselves if overturned, so may need occasional assistance.
