A beautiful Heliofungia actiniformis, commonly known as a Long Tentacle Plate Coral, with flowing purple tentacles, vibrant blue tips and a glowing green centre under reef lighting. The long, elegant tentacle extension gives this piece fantastic movement, making it a real eye-catching LPS coral for the sand bed.
 
Heliofungia are best kept on the sand bed, away from sharp rockwork, as their fleshy tissue can be easily damaged. They appreciate low to moderate lighting and gentle to moderate flow, enough to create natural movement without blasting the coral or preventing full expansion.
 
This coral benefits from a stable, mature reef aquarium and can be fed occasionally with small meaty foods to support condition, colour and long-term health. Allow space around it, as the extended tentacles can irritate nearby corals.
