Red & Blue Acan Echinata Colony
 
A striking Acanthastrea echinata colony with bold red centres and contrasting blue/teal ridges under reef lighting. This piece has a beautiful mounded, encrusting growth form with tightly packed corallites and a textured surface, giving it strong colour, depth and character under blues.

Acan Echinata are generally hardy once settled, but they do require stable water parameters and careful placement. They can be aggressive towards neighbouring corals, so allow plenty of space around the colony.
 
Best placed in the lower to middle areas of the aquarium with moderate lighting and gentle to moderate flow. Occasional feeding with fine coral foods or small meaty foods can help encourage growth, colour and overall condition.
 
A fantastic LPS coral for adding bold contrast, texture and interest to a mature reef system.
