War Coral Favites Colony
 
A striking Favites / War Coral colony with a richly coloured red and purple base, electric green mouths and contrasting blue/teal ridges under reef lighting. This piece has a beautiful encrusting growth form with tightly packed corallites, giving it excellent texture, depth and fluorescence under blues.

War Corals are generally hardy once settled, but they do best in stable reef systems with consistent water parameters. They can be aggressive towards neighbouring corals, especially after lights out, so allow space around the colony.
 
Best placed in the lower to middle areas of the aquarium with moderate lighting and gentle to moderate flow. Occasional feeding with fine coral foods or small meaty foods can help support growth, colour and overall condition.
 
A fantastic LPS coral for adding bold contrast, texture and intense fluorescence to a mature reef aquarium.
