- Yuma & Rhodactis Colonies (Ricordea yuma / Rhodactis spp.)
These beautiful Yuma and Rhodactis colonies offer a vibrant and textured addition to any reef aquarium. Each colony contains a minimum of 5 fully developed heads, creating an instant display piece that adds colour, movement and natural reef character to your aquascape.
- Colour & Appearance
Both Ricordea yuma and Rhodactis species are prized for their unique textures and striking colour patterns. Yumas feature raised vesicles and bubble-like surfaces that give them a rich, three-dimensional appearance, while Rhodactis display soft, mushroom-like discs with intricate patterns and vibrant pigmentation.
Colours can range from bright oranges, reds and greens to blues, purples and multi-colour combinations. Under blue spectrum lighting, their fluorescence intensifies dramatically, revealing glowing centres and contrasting patterns.
- Placement & Flow Requirements
Yuma and Rhodactis corals thrive under low to moderate lighting and gentle, indirect water flow. Avoid strong flow which may prevent the corals from fully expanding. Best positioned on lower rockwork or shaded areas where they can spread naturally.
- Care Level & Compatibility
These corallimorphs are generally hardy and suitable for a wide range of reef aquariums. With stable water conditions, colonies can slowly expand and form beautiful clusters over time.
